Summary :Osteoradionecrosis begins with radiation, which
induces tissue to become hypovascular, hypocellular,
and hypoxic. The tissue may then break down, resulting
in an imbalance where cell death and collagen lysis
exceed the homeostatic mechanisms of cell replacement
and collagen synthesis.
