As a student, you are required to be able to compile a final project or scientific work by presenting authentic data sources, based on facts, and valid sources. This requires students to know the provisions in writing a final project or scientific paper, one of which is by paying attention to the rules of writing and anti-plagiarism. Therefore, we need a tool or software that can help detect quotes, plagiarism, and improve the writing you make. Software that can support these writing activities is a reference manager or reference management. Reference manager is software that can assist you in managing citations, searching, storing metadata, citing, and retrieving reference documents if needed. The reference manager also provides a function to export citations and references automatically into word processing software. You can also choose the citation format to apply to your paper. There are several reference manager software that you can use, including Mendeley, Zotero, and Endnote.
In order to help improve the writing ability and quality of the UMY academic community, the UMY Library provides a Reference Manager Clinic which includes Mendeley, Zotero, and Endnote. This service aims to facilitate the UMY academic community, including UMY students, to consult in using a reference manager to support writing needs. The Reference Manager Clinic service is located at the UMY Library, Gd. D Lt. 2 from 08.00 – 15.00 WIB.
