On Thursday, March 31, 2022, the UMY Library held an online Librarian Certification Workshop through the Zoom application. This event was attended by 11 UMY Library librarians with 5 speakers from Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA (UHAMKA) and Surabaya University (UBAYA). The five speakers included: Lutfan Zulwaqar (UHAMKA), Fauzan Rahmatul (UHAMKA), Jalinur (UHAMKA), Mifta Apriyanto (UHAMKA), Kristina (UBAYA).

The Librarian Certification Workshop was started by remarks from Mr. Drs. lasa Hs, M.Si as the Head of UMY Library. He hoped that this event would give UMY librarians a special specialization. Then the second speech was continued by Mrs. Dr. Adhianty Nurjanah, S.Sos, M.Si as the Head of LPKSDM. He hoped that with this event, UMY librarians could carry out the certification process well and be certified based on the selected cluster.

After a welcome from Drs. lasa Hs, M.Si and Dr. Adhianty Nurjanah, S.Sos, M.Si, the next event 11 librarians and 5 resource persons entered the breakout room based on their respective clusters. The Processing and Collection Development Cluster was filled by Lutfan Zulwaqar with participants namely Arda Putri Winata and Laela Niswatin. The Basic Library Services Cluster was filled by Fauzan Rahmatul and Mifta Apriyanto with participants Yuliana Ramawati, Nur Hasyim Latif, Muhammad Jubaidi, Rifki Nugroho, and Muhkamad Fatori. The Library Promotion Cluster was filled by Jalinur with participants Eko Kurniawan. The Information Literacy Cluster was filled by Kristina with participants Novy Diana Fauzie, Aidilla Qurotianti, and Muhammad Erdiansyah Cholid Anjali.

When participants and resource persons entered the breakout room, each resource person explained the material to the workshop participants. After the presentation is complete, it is continued in the discussion session. Workshop participants asked about the components that must be prepared and the resource persons explained and shared their experiences during the librarian certification process. The result of this event was that UMY's librarians began to prepare the documents used in the librarian certification process to the National Library of Republic of Indonesia.
