Yogyakarta, May 13, 2022 - In order to increase family ties between staff, the UMY library held a family recitation at the New Saphir Hotel Yogyakarta. Coinciding with the month of Shawwal, this activity is a momentum for UMY library staff to forgive each other.

The UMY Library Family Study Program was guided by Saifudin Zuhri, S.I.Pust as a UMY librarian and as a resource person delivered by Drs. Lassa Hs, M.Si. Drs. Lasa Hs, M.Si conveyed several points related to increasing worship during the month of Shawwal as an effort of piety as Muslims. He also reminded the staff that in every human being there is a leadership side. There are 8 qualities of leadership or Hasta Brata Science in Javanese philosophy which is also contained in the Qur'an and Hadith. These 8 properties contain the elements of earth, sun, fire, ocean, sky, wind, moon and stars. Drs. Lasa Hs, M.Si hopes that UMY library staff will hone these 8 qualities so that they can become good leaders at every level.
