On Tuesday (5/7) the position of Head of UMY Library was handed over from Drs. Lasa Hs, M.Si to Novy Diana Fauzie, M.A who previously served as Head of Information System and Knowledge Management Affairs at UMY Library. The event was attended by all librarians and staff of the UMY Library as well as internship students which was carried out offline in the Meeting Room, lt. 1 Building of UMY Library. Head of the Library for the period 2013–2022, Drs. Lasa Hs, M.Si, in his speech conveyed a message that is not to be ambitious in pursuing positions, and when given the trust do not refuse. In addition, he provided direction and guidance to librarians and all library staff to prepare for the development of the UMY Library. He also hopes that the efforts that have been initiated can be continued by the new Head of the Library. 

Meanwhile, Novy Diana Fauzie, M.A. in his speech said that under the leadership of the previous Head of the Library, many achievements have been achieved. She also hopes that all librarians and library staff can continue to cooperate with each other in advancing the UMY Library. “Now I am the driver, Mrs. Ela and Mr. Eko are the conductors, and other friends are the passengers. If the bus gets stuck, then friends can help to encourage the bus to keep running,” she explained. 

At the same event, there was also a farewell to Mrs. Ismiyati who had served as secretary at the UMY Library for 32 years. In her speech, she thanked all librarians and library staff for being a family that helps each other. She also gave a message that we must always discipline ourselves at work. Now Mrs. Ismiyati's position is continued by Yuliana Rahmawati, SIP who is a UMY librarian.
