The UMY Library again held a Bibliottle on Wednesday (8/3) at the UMY Library lt. 3. Unlike the previous Bibliobattle contestants, this time the Bibliobattle was attended by three presenters who were representatives from each librarian forum, including Irkhamiyati, SIP., MIP., representatives from the Muhammadiyah 'Aisyiyah Higher Education Library Forum (FPPTMA) who was also a The Head of the UNISA Library, Risty Prasetyawati, SIP., M.A., a representative from the Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum for the DIY region (FPPTI DIY) who is also the Head of the UNJAYA Library, and Triyanta, S.Pd., MIP., a representative for the Indonesian Librarian Association for the DIY region ( IPI DIY). In the competition each of them reviewed the contents of the book they had chosen, where the book was a memorable one for them.
The first contestant was Irkhamiyati, SIP., MIP., who presented a book entitled "Merry Riana: Dream of a Million Dollars" by Alberthiene Endah. The book tells the true story of a woman named Merry Riana who won her first million dollars in Singapore at the age of 26. Merry Riana studied at NTU (Nanyang Technological University) majoring in Electronics Engineering (EEE). While in college, Merry Riana tried to fulfill her daily needs and help her family's economy by working on the side. “Even though she lives in a country with limited people, she thinks and racks her brains by making a living distributing flyers on the streets, selling flowers, and so on. This is one of her persistence in daring to change the destiny of people's lands", explained Irkhamiyati. She also added that sensitivity must also be sharp so that we can arrange steps that are potentially profitable in the midst of any situation.
Then the second contestant was Triyantia, S.Pd., MIP., who presented a book entitled "Live, Enjoy, Be Grateful" by Dwi Suwiknyo. This book contains Islamic-breathing messages that are full of motivation and wisdom about life. One of the quotes contained in the book explains that in fact sadness is temporary. Therefore, don't sink too long and dissolve in it. Whatever we are sad today, we will not be sad again tomorrow. Nothing is impossible for God. If Allah has willed, then He will easily turn a sad face into a radiant (happy) face. Triyanta also explained that this book invites readers to live a happy life with the 3 keys that are the title of this book: live it, enjoy it, be grateful.
The last contestant was Risty Prasetyawati, SIP., M.A., who presented a book entitled "Law of Polarity (Masculine & Feminine Energy)" by Tresnany Moonlight. On this occasion, Risty explained the differences in attitude between the feminine and masculine sides. "Feminine is more towards maybe we can see from the way she speaks, behaves, and for girls maybe it's more towards gentle, caring, playful, affectionate. Meanwhile, if masculine is more towards him, she must behave to pursue his dreams, not be afraid to take attitudes and decisions", she explained. He also added that each gender has different levels of masculine and feminine percentages. "For men, 80% is the masculine energy, while the feminine is 20%. Vice versa. If a woman is more dominant, the feminine energy is 80%, while the masculine is 20%. So don't get it upside down (the percentage of the feminine and masculine sides)," she said.
The last session is voting which will be carried out by the entire audience or voters by choosing what book titles they think are interesting. From the results of the poll, it was found that the book that most interested the audience was the book “Merry Riana: Dreams of a Million Dollars” by Alberthiene Endah which was reviewed by Irkhamiyati, SIP., MIP.
