IFLA itself is an international organization that represents the interests of libraries and individuals engaged in the library and information sector. Every year IFLA organizes the IFLA WLIC (The IFLA World Library International Congress) international library conference which aims to demonstrate the librarian profession's commitment to improving library quality and encouraging wider access to information. This year's IFLA WLIC congress carries the theme Let's Work Together, Let's Library in line with current developments.
Libraries can contribute to society in an inclusive manner, so that everyone has the opportunity to participate. The IFLA event was also enlivened by a poster paper exhibition of nearly 200 posters displayed as part of the Poster Session in the Exhibition Area. The National Library displays a collection of ancient Javanese manuscripts in this exhibition.
