Author : Eko Kurniawan Date : 19 January 2024

One of the activity programs in developing librarian skills is learning librarians. This time, the UMY Library held another Librarian Study with the theme "In-depth Use of SPSS for Librarians" on Monday (27/11) in the Repository Room, 2nd floor of the UMY Library. The training was attended by 10 participants consisting of librarians and temporary UMY Library staff.

Statistical Program for Social Science or SPSS is a business application program that is useful for analyzing statistical data. This program is generally used for processing and analyzing data which has statistical analysis capabilities and a data management system as well as a graphical environment.

This SPSS training invited a resource person/trainer, namely Dheya Kusuma Arianing Putri, M.M., who is also an alumni of the UMY Bachelor of Management study program and has now taken a Masters in Management at the Indonesian Islamic University (UII). On this occasion he delivered several major materials on the use of SPSS software, starting from descriptive analysis of research variables, instrument quality testing, to interventional analysis for multiple regression tests, simple linear and Path Analysis.

This Statistics Training with SPSS for UMY librarians aims to provide a deeper understanding of basic statistics for interactive statistical analysis using SPSS, so that later librarians can also help teach the UMY academic community how to use SPSS to process data.
