The UMY Library is once again organizing the "Library Learning" activity. This time, the Library Learning activity is focused on librarians assigned to provide consultations to library users regarding data processing. The Library Learning activity begins at 09:00 and lasts until 15:00, featuring a learning session on the NVIVO application. The NVIVO learning material is presented by Mr. Misran. The delivery of the material is divided into two sessions, where the first session is conducted from 09:00 to 11:30 and the second session from 13:00 to 15:00.
The learning material in the first session is used to strengthen the librarians' understanding of the NVIVO application. The material covers the processing of primary sources in qualitative research. Mr. Misran provides an explanation of the methods used to process data obtained from interviews. Interview results are one of the primary sources in qualitative research.
The learning in the second session is used to answer several questions posed by librarians. One librarian, Eko Kurniawan, asked the presenter about how to process data obtained from online portals using the NVIVO application. Mr. Misran, as the presenter, not only explains the theory but also demonstrates it practically. The practice conducted by the presenter is also followed by the librarians. Apart from the question asked by Mr. Eko Kurniawan, there are several other questions raised by other librarians. Considering the insufficient time to answer and practice these questions, the Library Learning on the NVIVO application will be continued on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
