International Journal Database Recommendations. Have you accessed it?
Author : Aidilla Qurotianti Date : 10 February 2024

Access to international journals has a crucial role in the development of science and research at the university level. International journals are a forum for researchers to publish the latest research results, share scientific findings, and collaborate with researchers from various parts of the world. It is important for students and lecturers to have easy access to reputable journal references needed to support and build quality research.

Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) has been proactive in improving the accessibility and quality of scientific references for the entire UMY academic community, one of which is providing access to international journal databases. UMY has subscribed to four international journal databases, namely Springer, Scopus, Proquest Central, and Emerald. These four databases are important resources that can be utilized by students, lecturers and educational staff to support research, teaching and learning in various scientific disciplines. One of the purposes of subscribing to international journal databases is to provide broad access for researchers within universities to obtain high-quality scientific literature, so that they can create quality and reputable research.

Library friends can directly access international journal database links via the UMY Library website (https://library.umy.ac.id/page/database) using the UMY network/wifi. Then library friends can choose the desired database portal.

If library friends are outside the UMY area, library friends can still access the journal database by registering an account. The account registration tutorial can be seen through this guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pXxJAhBDJ1Rxm0prg_f4y6ecgega7bZe/view).

It is hoped that by providing access to this journal database, library friends can follow the latest developments in their respective fields of science, improve the university's reputation at national and international levels, and can improve the university's academic achievements in terms of publications, recognition and rankings.
