IQRA (Increasing your tesis Quality through Reading Ability) has been organized for the 13th edition. IQRA is once again organized by the Library of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. IQRA #13 is conducted online through the Zoom application. The speaker for the IQRA #13 webinar is the Professor of the Civil Engineering Study Program at UMY, Prof. Agus Setyo Muntohar, ST., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D.(Eng.). The discussion in this webinar is facilitated by one of the librarians of UMY Library, Arda Putri Winata, M.A. The webinar is attended by approximately 500 participants consisting of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta.

IQRA #13 carries the theme "How to Write a Good Scientific Paper?". The theme is not chosen without reason. Currently, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta does not require academic citizens to compile a thesis as a graduation requirement. This is in line with the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 53 of 2023 concerning Quality Assurance of Higher Education. In Article 18, it is mentioned that the final project of students is no longer mandatory in the form of a thesis. Based on this, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta provides several options as graduation requirements, one of which is a scientific journal article.

Scientific journal articles in the academic world are not unfamiliar. Before becoming an alternative to the thesis, scientific journal articles are one of the requirements for graduation for postgraduate students at Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta, both national and international-based scientific journal articles. However, not all academic citizens can easily compose scientific journal articles. Scientific writing techniques, research topics, research methods, relevant references, and the structure of scientific journal article composition are some components that must be considered in the preparation of scientific journal articles. Therefore, the theme of the IQRA #13 webinar is very relevant to improve the abilities of academic citizens, especially students, in enhancing their skills in creating scientific journal articles."
